Service maintenance

We guarantee the availability of spare parts for a minimum of 10 years and up to 20 years for gold watches, from the date production of the watch ceases. If, for any reason, production of a particular spare part is stopped or postponed, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to offer an alternative solution to the customer. Thereafter, we will use our best endeavours to maintain collector's items.

All servicing of your watch must be carried out by one of our authorized service centers. Any service not carried out by an authorized service center will void the warranty. A complete list of service centers is available in the  the Customer Service section, tab: find a service center

Only service centres meeting the strict criteria relating to equipment and technical skills are supplied with original Tissot spare parts. This allows all customers to enjoy a service in line with Tissot's standards of excellence.

The prices indicated in the Customer Service section should be considered as indicative. This is because the law in many countries prevents the imposition of retail prices. Each independent authorized service center is therefore free to set its own service prices. The recommended retail prices stated on this site are nevertheless valid in countries with an official service center belonging to the Swatch Group Ltd.

Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly to ensure optimum functioning. The servicing frequency depends on the model, the climate and the care you take of it. As a general rule, we recommend that you have a service carried out every four to five years by a Tissot-certified service centre.

In case that the T-Touch Connect Application is not open or does not continue to operate in the background, the function “Find my watch” will not work. Furthermore the IPhone will broadcast the alert at the current audio level of the phone. If the phone settings are turned down or off, you may not hear the alert.

Currently, the timer does not create any confirmation message of launch, you can nonetheless confirm that the timer as begun via the hourglass logo that appears at the top left of the watch screen.

This data is obtained by means of algorithms that use the data provided in the user profile (height, weight, gender).

You can extract your activity data at any time, either by e-mail (standard GPX format) or by sharing it directly with the application of your choice (Strava, Google Maps, etc.). This extraction allows you to track your routes, share your activities, analyse your performances, or even share them. To share, simply go to the T-Connect application, select your saved activities, and choose one with GPS data. Then click on the three little dots at the top right and select: share route. Finally, all you have to do is choose the application with which you want to transmit your information.

The T-Touch Connect Solar is equipped with Bluetooth and requires the use of a smartphone that runs on Android 9.0 or above, or iOS 16.0 or above.

The Tissot application and watch are compatible with most Android phones (as of September 25th) and iOS.
However, iOS 16.x or older versions and Android 9.x or older versions are not supported.
Some models of telephones have manufacturer's specifications that make them incompatible with each other:

  • Xiaomi M8 Lite

  • Blackberry Key 2 LE

  • Samsung A21 S

  • Sony XZ3

  • Iphone SE (second generation)

  • CAT S60

If you are experiencing problems specific to a particular phone model, please let us know.

The heart rate sensor in our watch uses an optical system to detect movements of the skin as a result of the pulse beat. In order to ensure that the sensors (the little green diodes) perceive these movements as accurately as possible, it is necessary to ensure that they are pressed against the wrist as much as possible. That is why, to get the best data, we recommend that you squeeze the strap of your watch as tightly as possible.

We have noticed that some Android devices do not handle notifications like others. The phone may not display the code directly. To see it and validate it, please select the Bluetooth notification and open it by clicking on it.

On our new connected watch, we've removed the various sensors present on the first generation (barometric sensor, thermometer, compass). This has freed up a lot of space and enabled us to produce a smaller watch. We've also added a heart rate sensor to this new model, following numerous suggestions from our users of the first connect model.
No, the new T-Touch Connect Sport does not have a GPS chip. Geolocation functions are only available via the smartphone. Consequently, any activity requiring location (outdoor activity) must be activated with the connected phone.

Our connected watches are manufactured with all our know-how as a Swiss watchmaking company and are available in a variety of colours and bezels with noble materials such as ceramic, titanium and sapphire crystals, all with classic watchmaking finishes. In addition, the operating system of our connected watches is developed by Tissot. This operating system allows us to guarantee a battery life well beyond anything our competitors can offer, as well as total confidentiality regarding data management. Finally, our connected watches are covered by a 10-year repair period following the date on which production of the model in question ceases.

On our new version, we can connect several watches, in order to avoid all the watches linked to the application dashboard and there being interference from one watch to another, we make sure that one watch has priority. This is why the preferred watch is the watch linked to the application and more specifically to the application dashboard.

Unfortunately, the wide variety of different devices and programs means that it's more complicated to develop systems that are compatible with Android. To ensure that we can

No, this is not normal. However, it is possible that the application needs some time to synchronise all the information. This is why you need to wait up to 60 seconds for the synchronisation to be complete. However, if the behaviour repeats itself, we recommend that you shut down the application completely or force it to do so.

The calculations are carried out directly by the watch according to the body data recorded in the watch.

Training zone data is currently calculated using the age recorded by the user. Today, this data is based on a standard user average.

The watch is only in English at the moment. French, Italian, German, Spanish and Chinese will be available on the beginning of 2021.

When you have been disconnected for more than 2 hours, the watch turns off Bluetooth technology to reduce power consumption.
If you do not wish to manually reconnect your watch every morning, you can activate the \auto sleep\" mode.
T-Touch Function > Settings > System > Energy savings > Auto Sleep
When this mode is activated, the watch automatically enters the sleep mode when not worn for at least 2 hours.
Simply press one of the pushers to reactivate your watch and it will automatically reconnect to your phone.
When the watch is \"sleeping\", the hands are stopped and the display, backlight and Bluetooth® are switched off to save energy.
"

To connect your phone to your T-Touch Connect Solar, please follow the various steps set out in our User Manual https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-ch//e-usermanual/t-touch_connect_solar

"

Delete the T-Touch Connect app from your original phone, install it on the new one, and use your user ID and password to connect and recover your data.

The watch’s battery life varies considerably depending on how the watch is used and its exposure to sunlight. In ideal conditions, the watch has a battery life of up to 6 months if connected and 10 years if used independently (without the app).

In your phone’s app store, search for the Tissot T-Connect app and install it. If it is not possible to perform this procedure, please contact our Customer Service department.

The connection between your watch and your phone is made via the Tissot app, thus enabling you to receive various notifications directly on your watch. It is perfectly possible to use your watch without connecting it to your phone, but these functions will not be available.

You can delete your account at any time using the mobile app settings. Your personal data are deleted immediately. When you delete your account, the phone automatically disconnects from the watch.

Check that the watch’s Bluetooth (T-Touch touch zone) and the phone’s Bluetooth are both activated. If they are, check that the Time 1 time zone is “Phone” (the hands display the Time 1 time).

Check that your watch is placed on the charger correctly (back of watch flat against the charger). When your watch is on the charger, a charging symbol appears on the watch. If you have checked all this and your watch is still not charging, please return it to us free of charge using our prepaid dispatch service.

When you are disconnected for more than 2 hours, the watch turns Bluetooth off in order to reduce energy consumption. This means your watch will automatically reconnect when you are near your phone.

Check the status of Bluetooth in T-Touch menu -> Quick Settings -> Bluetooth and activate it if necessary.

Some phones running on the Android operating system do not allow apps to launch tasks in the background (including the one that allows reconnection) without the user’s intervention.

Here is the procedure for activating this option:

Go to the Settings menu and select Apps -> Permissions -> Autostart.

The battery-saving options may also prevent reconnection because they restrict background running and Bluetooth scanning:

Go to the Settings menu and select Apps -> Manage apps -> Select the App -> Battery saver -> No restrictions.

If this does not suffice, you can also set different permissions in the “Other permissions” menu in the app’s settings (just above the Battery-Saving menu) to ensure the app can run in the background and when the phone is locked.

In addition, if the date and time on your phone were set manually and are different from the date and time in the country you are currently in, this may prevent reconnection between phone and watch.

If you are not receiving notifications on your watch, check the following points:

  • Check your watch is properly connected to your phone (Bluetooth icon displayed on the watch).

  • Activate the “Notification” option in the watch settings.

  • Check in your phone settings that the app has the necessary permissions to send notifications.

Like any high-precision instrument, a watch needs to be serviced regularly to ensure optimum functioning. The servicing frequency depends on the model, the climate and the care you take of it. As a general rule, we recommend that you have a service carried out every 4 to 5 years by a Tissot-certified service centre.

Your watch’s pedometer counts steps according to your wrist movements. When you are driving, particular movements might be counted in the same way as when you are walking (just as with any other model of connected watch). The calculation of these “extra steps” is built into the margin of error tolerated by your activity tracker.

If your app has stopped responding, you need to use the settings on your phone force the app to shut down. Then restart the app.

Check that Bluetooth is active on both your watch and your phone. If data on the watch and on the app are different, it may be that synchronisation has not occurred. Synchronisation occurs automatically every 15 minutes.

The hands show the time set in Time 1. Lock the watch onto Time 1 if you want the time on the screen to be the same as on the hands.

You can also synchronise the hands in the watch’s Sensors & Motors menu, by selecting: T-Touch/Settings/Sens.&Motors/Motors/Calibrate the hands

If your watch’s screen is black, this means the watch is switched off or in \Auto Sleep\" mode.

- If your watch is switched off :

  • Press the crown for about 5 seconds to turn it on
    or

  • Press the 3 push-pieces simultaneously for 3 seconds

If this happens when the watch is connected to your phone, you need to re-initiate the watch-pairing procedure.

- If your watch is in \"Auto Sleep\" mode:

  •  Press one of the push-pieces in order to reactivate it.

"

The watch will update to firmware version 1.1.16 to improve and correct bugs for a better user experience.

The connection distance between watch and phone varies considerably depending on the environment you happen to be in. The average distance is between 10 and 20 metres.

Provided the watch is within range of the phone, it is not supposed to disconnect. However, when the watch is disconnected for more than 2 hours it turns off Bluetooth, which must then be reactivated manually.

The Function “Settle” is used to update the current timers of the watch directly from the phone.

General

All Tissot watches are covered by a 2-year international warranty. COSC certified models are covered by a 3-year international warranty.

When placing an order on our website, your digital warranty is automatically activated on the date of the purchase. You will not be provided with a warranty card but you can access your warranty details by registrering your watch through our "Register my watch" program.

When purchasing a watch through our official retail network, you should always be provided with either an international warranty card completed by the retail partners and stating the serial number and reference of the watch, as well as the full name and address of the reseller, or a digital warranty.

Our official website features all watches from the current Tissot collection. Some references might not be available on our website anymore but could be found and purchased through one of our official retailers.

Please note that some watch references are exclusive to some markets and cannot be purchased on all website versions.

Tissot watches are sold exclusively through our global network of certified distributors, whose addresses are listed in the Store Locator section.

To check if a website belongs to one of our official retailers, please use our Stop Fake page, accessible here: https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-en/stop-fake.html# . Copy and paste the URL of the website in the search field to check if it is approved by Tissot.

Furthermore, Tissot watches always come with an international warranty card completed by the retail partners and stating the serial number and reference of the watch, as well as the full name and address of the reseller.
Some of our retailers have also started using our digital warranty system, with the same guarantees as the card one.
For online orders placed through our official retail partners' websites, the order confirmation email can be used as proof of purchase to activate your digital warranty.

If in doubt regarding the origin of your watch, you can contact your closest service centre to carry out a full diagnostic of your Tissot.

To check the warranty status of your watch, you need to perform the following steps:
1.  Go to section «My Account»
2.  Press the button «Create Account» and fill in all fields.
3.  Go to the section «My Clock» and choose the item «Add Clock».
4.  Enter the serial number of your watch.
5.  Choose the type of guarantee - if you have been given a white guarantee card - choose the item «physical guarantee», if you have been given a black guarantee card (it is not obligatory, on it only QR code with a reference to the section «my watch») - choose an electronic guarantee.
6. Under the image of the clock you have to choose «international guarantee» - there will be specified date of purchase and term of warranty service for your hours (2 or 3 years depending on the version of mechanism).

Tactile watches

A scuba diver does not generally descend lower than 60m. Tissot guarantees the accuracy of the depth meter up to 59m. Beyond this limit, the diving mode is blocked to protect the diver and prevent the sensor from being damaged by excessive pressure. If this limit is exceeded, a small spanner icon appears in the LCD display. Please also be aware that below a depth of 30m, most insurance policies no longer cover you in the event of an accident.

Functioning of the watch

On a watch, a tachymeter is used to measure average speed over a given distance. To be specific it is a chronograph with a graduated scale on the dial or the glass, on which speed can be read off in kilometres per hour based on a 1000m distance.
To read the tachymeter, only the chronograph's central hand is used. Start the chronograph and stop it once 1000m have been travelled. You can then read off the speed indicated on the dial by the chronograph's central hand. Example for calculating the speed of a car: the chronograph indicates that the distance of 1000m has been covered in 30 seconds. The chronograph's central hand indicates 120 on the tachymeter scale. The average speed over 1000m is therefore 120 km per hour.

A bezel is an adjustable ring on the case, often used to record additional data, such as the duration of an event or to read the time in a second time zone. A bidirectional bezel can rotate in both directions, clockwise and anticlockwise. A unidirectional bezel only turns one way to prevent it accidentally turning in the wrong direction and therefore giving a false reading. When measuring diving time, for example, any impact or false manoeuvre can only reduce the pre-set limits, preventing the user from having an exaggerated interpretation of air or decompression time.
To use a unidirectional bezel for deep-sea diving, place the bezel's main indicator (initially positioned at 12 o'clock) at the projected time for the end of the dive. When the minute hand meets the main indicator, the diving time will have been reached. For example, for a 30-minute dive starting at 15:00, align the bezel's main indicator with 15:30 (at six o'clock) just before diving. The minute will take 30 minutes to reach the bezel's main indicator, thereby indicating remaining diving time.

Both types of movement are mechanical movements, but are wound in different ways. Manual-winding watches must be wound every day by hand using the crown, whereas self-winding watches are wound by an internal rotor which responds to wrist movements.

Two ways of writing the number 4 are admissible: IV and IIII. There are various historical explanations for this. It is known that IIII was used for over four centuries, to avoid confusion between IV and VI when the watch is upside down. Another theory has it that in the 16th and 17th centuries, IIII was used to make it easier to read the time for people who were illiterate. Finally, it can be seen simply as an aesthetic choice, since IIII representing a better balance with the VIII opposite.
