Technical details

  • Innovators by tradition, Tissot celebrates its historic ties to motor racing with a re-issue of a 70s style chronograph. The Tissot Heritage 1973 symbolises the partnership that brought together Tissot and the Kessel Classics racing team. Meeting contemporary requirements, this 43 mm wide chronograph features a silvery grey dial and matte black counters. The overstitched brown calfskin strap is a reproduction of the one Tissot invented and patented in the 1960s, characterised by its large perforations alluding to pilots’ steering wheels of the time. To power this racing machine, Tissot has fitted a reliable, powerful and tested engine, the ETA Valjoux 7753 self-winding movement, in the stainless steel case.

  • Valjoux

The ETA Valjoux calibre is a sturdy, self-winding chronograph movement. These top-of-range models feature beautiful finishing touches, such as Geneva waves or circular graining. Designed in the 1970s, the reliability and performance of the ETA Valjoux movement have made it a classic across eras. It is one of the most iconic movements in the world of watchmaking. • Superluminova®

Ensuring visibility under all conditions is an important goal for Tissot. This is why some timepieces feature a material called SuperLuminova®. This material is placed on visible parts such as dials and hands, where it functions as a miniature accumulator of reflected light when the watch finds itself in the dark. Non-contractual image

  • Water resistance

All Tissot watch cases undergo several tests, including a water resistance check. Tissot tests the watch's ability to resist impacts and pressure, as well as the penetration of liquids, gas and dust by replicating the real-life conditions in which the watch may find itself.
