Technical details

  • The Tissot Seastar 1000 merges style and performance without compromising either. The diving inspiration shapes both the appearance and the functionality of this watch. It maintains its performance to a pressure of 30 bar (300m/1'000ft), combining underwater sports and a preference for a sophisticated Swiss timepiece. The diving theme continues through elements such as a unidirectional bezel, a strap with a divers' safety buckle, plus luminescent hands and markings. Discover this version with its black dial, its matching bezel and its black fabric strap.

  • Powermatic 80

An automatic watch is powered by the energy of the person who wears it. Wrist movements enable the mechanism to run. The Powermatic 80 movement boasts 80 hours of power reserve, which is enough to continue telling time accurately even if the watch is not worn for three days. It is an innovative movement that outperforms the competition, whose movements generally provide 1.5 days of power reserve.

  • Superluminova®

Ensuring visibility under all conditions is an important goal for Tissot. This is why some timepieces feature a material called SuperLuminova®. This material is placed on visible parts such as dials and hands, where it functions as a miniature accumulator of reflected light when the watch finds itself in the dark. Non-contractual image

  • Water resistance

All Tissot watch cases undergo several tests, including a water resistance check. Tissot tests the watch's ability to resist impacts and pressure, as well as the penetration of liquids, gas and dust by replicating the real-life conditions in which the watch may find itself. • Ceramic

This material, recognised to be one of the hardest, has been used by Tissot for decades. It is perfectly suited to the external parts of a watch that is exposed to daily scratching and impacts. Ceramic ingredients include aluminium oxide and zirconium, which means that it will never oxidise no matter how much time passes. That means the watch will never lose its shine. It is known for its hypoallergenic properties and is well suited to any wrist. *Non-contractual image
